Trump Says COVID-19 Vaccine Out By Next Month; Experts Say “Not so Fast!”

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to run roughshod and infect many throughout the United States, medical experts are continuing to make efforts in order to combat the disease and get the world back to normal.

While different kinds of treatment have met with mixed results, one thing remains a priority for most, if not all, medics: a vaccination. It’s no wonder why this is the main point of focus for many scientists, as, according to experts, it is essential in order for the world to get back to normalcy. Lead official, Dr. Anthony Fauci, has commented multiple times that he is hopeful that the vaccine will be available by the start of next year, and that, afterwards, it will be able to become “widely available” to the public by the middle or later parts of 2021.

However, one factor that has been driving a potential rush-out of this vaccination is the fact that this year is an election year, and, on November 3rd, it will be decided between the current President, Donald Trump, and the Democratic Presidential candidate, Joe Biden, who becomes the next President of the United States.

As a result of the election, Trump has been attempting to roll the COVID-19 vaccine out faster, albeit against the wishes of medical experts, who warn that rolling out the vaccination too fast could have negative consequences. Nevertheless, Trump has continuously, and confidently, stated that a vaccine will be available to the public before Election Day. In fact, recently, Trump assured Americans that millions of doses will be available to the American public as soon as April of next year, despite the claims of the director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention(CDC), Robert Redfield, that it will take until mid-to-late 2021 for many Americans to get vaccinated.

Unfortunately for Trump, a recent poll ran shows that 69% of Americans don’t trust Trump’s words on the safety and effectiveness of a vaccine. In the meantime, Fauci, Redfield, and other medical experts are urging the American public that it is more important than ever to take precautionary measures during this time of worry and panic in order to protect others, such as washing your hands, using hand sanitizer whenever possible, and, most importantly, of course, wearing a mask whenever in public.
