The Travis Scott Meal

McDonald’s recently released a collaboration with rapper and songwriter, Travis Scott. Scott is one of the most popular rappers in America at the moment, and is known for his success in the release of his album titled Astroworld. Through this collaboration with the popular fast food chain, Scott revealed his go-to meal and ignited a trend on Tik Tok, leading tons of fans heading to McDonald’s to join in the fun. I decided to see for myself if the Travis Scott Meal was worth the hype.

The Travis Scott Meal, also known as the “Cactus Jack”, consists of a Quarter Pounder with cheese with Scott’s choice of bacon and lettuce as toppings. It also includes a medium fry with BBQ sauce and a Sprite with extra ice. Before trying the meal, I didn’t have high expectations; I was more excited about the experience of trying the Cactus Jack. Who wouldn’t want to dine like a popular celebrity, even if it’s just at McDonald’s?

The Quarter Pounder with Cheese is definitely one of my favorite menu items at McDonald’s, but I’m used to keeping it simple with just cheese and ketchup. Trying the burger the Travis way was definitely out of my comfort zone, but the lettuce and bacon were a great addition. I enjoyed the french fries and BBQ combo the most because, like Scott, I often prefer to eat my McDonald’s fries with that sauce. The last part of the iconic meal is the drink: a Sprite with extra ice. The Sprite was a refreshing way to wash everything down.

Overall my experience having the Travis Scott Meal was very enjoyable, and I encourage others to try it too if you want to change things up at McDonald’s. It wasn’t an out of this world experience, but it’s still worth a try. The presentation of the burger was nothing out of the ordinary; things did get a little messy with the lettuce and some of the other ingredients, but it was definitely worth it. After enjoying the whole meal, I was completely stuffed and satisfied. Scott’s choice of toppings on the Quarter Pounder were delicious, with the rest of the items completing the experience. The only ingredient on the burger that I wasn’t too fond of were the onions, but everything else worked to the burger’s advantage. The Sprite definitely helped wash everything down easy and the French fries with BBQ sauce are always the perfect combination. If you can handle the messiness, I would recommend others to try the meal. It might just be worth the hype, and if it isn’t, at least you can say that you ate like Travis Scott.
