Crab Du Jour is the greatest seafood spot on the strip of Hempstead Turnpike. When you walk into this restaurant, you will be amazed by the decorations, which really make you feel like you are under the sea.
This restaurant serves a lot of seafood, drinks, salad/soups, appetizers and desserts. This restaurant always has a nice playlist of music being played. It is never crowded here, which is good because there won’t be a long wait for the food to be prepared.
My boyfriend and I ordered a good variety of different foods on the menu. My boyfriend ordered crab meat fries with fried shrimp, fried dumplings, and a chocolate mousse cake. I ordered the family sample appetizer because I was honestly really hungry. I went two days without eating so I made sure that I had enough food. The family sample appetizer came with calamari, hush puppies, wings, garlic bread, mozzarella cheese sticks and fried shrimp.
The crab meat fries with fried shrimp came up to $10.49. The fried dumplings were $8.99, and the chocolate mousse cake was $5.99. The most expensive thing that was bought was of course the family sample appetizer. Since it came with a lot of food, it cost $35. So all and all, we spent $60.47.
Everything tasted so good. The food was not cold, soggy, because the food came out within five minutes of ordering. It also wasn’t too salty.
The best thing I liked about Crab Du Jour was their dumplings and the decorations. The dumplings were very tasty, and I would definitely buy them over and over again.
They also put a lot of work into the decorations within the restaurant to actually make you feel like you are under water.
If I was to rate this restaurant, I would give it a 10/10.
