Where is my peace?
Is it by the sea shore, where the waves crash?
Is it up in the sky that’s blue,
with puffy white pillows,
that I can lay my head on and dream?
Do I look for it, or is it hidden?
How can I find it if it’s still?
But, I will be still.
As the trees that shades me and comfort me,
dances in the wind to speak to me.
They said my peace is within me.
That’s how I find it.
It says nothing to me but just be still.
But I am not running after it,
because it’s always here,
right where it belongs.
Just listen.
