I set out on a mission to uncover the entertainment preferences of my fellow students. Armed with a notepad and pen, I ventured around campus, eager to know what the current great shows are in the world of television, through the eyes of my peers.
The first stop on my quest led me to the bustling hub of the campus center, where students gathered during their breaks to unwind. I asked many students a simple question: “What are your top three shows, and why?”
Many students were rushing to class and too busy to answer, but I eventually found a biology major named Odalys Naranjo who had time to answer. She mostly watches romantic comedies on Netflix, and her two favorites are “One Day” and “Business Proposal.” She likes romantic comedies because they are lighthearted and can get her mind off the stress of her daily life. But the third show she’s watching is “Breaking Bad.” She loves it so far and she can’t believe that it had taken her so long to watch it.

I left the campus center and asked students in my next class which shows they’ve been watching lately. Media & Communications major Drew Champagnie said he’s a huge anime fan. He enjoys watching “One Piece” and “Attack on Titan” because they have really good stories and lots of action. He is also watching “Squid Game,” the reality show. He is a fan of the original Korean version and was amazed at how it was perfectly adapted to a reality show.

Hillary Bennett is a criminology major. She is watching “Law and Order” and “How To Get Away With Murder” because she’s interested in criminology.. Watching crime stories and murderers try to get away with their crimes fascinates her. The third show she likes is“Avatar: The Last Airbender” which has good stories and characters.
