In the upper corner is a pesto pasta, Aperol Spritz, and on the bottom cacio e pepe with shrimp.

Saint Theo’s is an upmarket Italian restaurant with a twist. The dishes we got were aesthetically pleasing and light, not the typical heavy Italian American food that we have gotten used to in the states (and love for the most part). The pesto pasta was simple. However, it was perfectly executed and I was able to taste every ingredient. The cacio e pepe with shrimp was the most delicious pasta I have had in a while, and again, it was simple but perfect because every ingredient was tasted.

With the food being delicious and the portions being smaller than average,  if you are hungry, I suggest ordering an appetizer too.

The décor was very retro, Italian, and Mediterranean inspired. The tables were adorned by soft velvety forest green couches that felt like a hug once you sat on them. There were beautiful and heavily detailed throw pillows sitting on the couch, and white linens with a table lamp on every table. The lights were dimmed and heavy curtains kept people walking by from looking in. The floors and bar were made from marble and contrasted beautifully with the forest green couches. The room felt very cozy despite the uptight personalities of the people that frequent this restaurant. There was no laughter heard.

The restaurant had very low elevator music playing, and a lot of chit-chat and business-talk, which all sounded like a blur… a low whispering blur.

I wish I had wonderful things to say about the staff, but unfortunately, I do not. The waiters were annoyed and in a rush. It took 20 to 30 minutes for us to get the menus. The lack of attention was disappointing since this is an upscale restaurant and the meals and cocktails are pricey. I understand that upscale is synonymous with quality and attention to detail, and unfortunately, we were not the only ones disappointed with the service. We got an appetizer of fried mozzarella, our meals, and a drink each, which totaled $285 for two people. Although we thought the food was worth top-dollar, the service fell short.
