Director Matt Reeves, creator of a masterpiece called The Batman has recently hit theaters on March 4. The film is led by Robert Pattinson as Batman, the superhero protector of Gotham City. A vigilante dressed as a bat, he fights against major crime all over the city. His true identity is that of Bruce Wayne, a billionaire and the number one eligible bachelor.
In the film, Batman uncovers corruption in Gotham that puts himself, not the people of Gotham City, in danger. Hidden truths connecting to his family and unveiling the serial killer villain known as The Riddler become revealed as the movie goes on.
Conveying intelligence, ambition, as well as determination Pattinson delivers an incredible performance throughout the film as the caped crusader. The film allows the viewer to sense the darkness and torment that lies within Bruce Wayne himself. The man in the black cape is truly Bruce’s obsession and reason for being. Having the power of wealth, all he wants is to be able to help in any way possible. However, when a serial killer reveals corruption within Gotham’s elite and leaves clues specifically for Batman, he is forced to face his own darkness before it fully consumes him.
Throughout the film, Pattinson’s acting becomes so powerful, his eyes paint a picture so emotional and strong that not even a line is needed to be said. His body language while remaining hidden within the dark shadows gives off a mysterious vibe and pops out of nowhere frightening the audience. He is the most terrifying, yet most vulnerable Batman yet. He does an exceptional job as the Dark Knight.
All actors of the film in both smaller and larger parts did a stellar job throughout the film. The villain in the film The Riddler is played by actor Paul Dano, who did an exceptional job with leaving the audience in suspense, but frightening them at the same time. His performance was raw and convincing to the point where it was daunting.
Not only was it a job well done when it came to the actors but also the choreography of the action parts as well. From the Batmobile jumping out of the fire to Batman fighting villains, it was all compelling.
Reeves did an extraordinary job in the new film, and in the end, it will leave you wanting more!
